The Role
We are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to oversee our Dementia & Wellbeing services and support the Home Manager to deliver a safe, effective and high-quality service to our veterans and their dependants.
Our home has 77 beds and is split into three dedicated areas for residential, nursing and dementia care. Each area has a dedicated Department Manager/Lead to ensure staff teams can support our veterans. We are currently rated Good with CQC.
The role is predominately supernumerary but will involve working on the floor and some weekends with our staff to promote good practice, effective communication and build positive relationships.
You will ideally be a Registered Nurse; however, this is not essential as an equivalent qualification in health and social care will be considered but you should have extensive demonstrable experience of care of people with dementia plus have experience of working with CQC regulations and standards. You will have been in a similar role within the care home sector. You will be an effective leader and can engage with your interpersonal skills and be able to motivate staff. A person-centred approach to delivery of care is essential. You will be able to deputise for the Home Manager in their absence, share out of hours on call duties and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role. You will ideally hold a clean, current driving licence.
Hours are 37.5 per week which will include some weekends and late shifts.
Please note this role is based at Maurice House which is located at Callis Court Road, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 3AH.
