The Role
An exciting opportunity for a social media officer to join The Royal British Legion's digital team has become available. The Legion is the nation's largest Armed Forces charity providing support and advice to all those currently serving in the British Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation, you will be the first point of contact for managing and developing the Legions social media community across our key channels.
You will also be responsible for planning and creating a range of channel specific content that demonstrates our impact and engages our target audiences. As well as creating and curating content, you will use analytics tools to monitor, analyse and report on performance, optimise existing content, and provide digital content support for major campaigns.
We are looking for a proactive, forward thinking and creative individual with the confidence to conceive and develop interesting ideas for new content and ways to build our community. The successful candidate will have experience of working in community management for a large organisation and a good understanding of crisis comms, as well as influencing and educating a range of stakeholders on effective social media content and best practice.
