The Role
The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. From sharing the unknown story that inspired the design of one of the memorials in the grounds of the Arboretum, to helping former colleagues who served reunite on a group visit, the Marketing and Business Development team are responsible for delivering activities that reach the widest possible audience, provide excellent customer service to visitors and help to deliver on the Arboretum’s commercial goals.
As Marketing Assistant, you will support the Marketing & Business Development team in achieving projected visitor numbers, ticket sales, group and corporate package sales, individual donations and enhanced visitor engagement through the successful delivery of campaign and communication projects. You will have experience of working in a customer facing environment, enjoy working as part of a team, have excellent attention to detail, and have a good working knowledge of mainstream social media channels.

This is a full-time position based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Rd, Alrewas, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR. Working a 35 hour week on a 5 days out of 7 basis.
This role may occasionally be required to work outside of core office hours in order to play an active role in supporting the team at events.
The role is subject to relevant pre-employment screening.

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Home to over 400 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 25,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife. Each year the Arboretum welcomes over 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 250+ events which take place across the site.
