The Role
As Head of Learning & Participation your ability to lead on the strategic development and delivery of the Arboretum’s learning and participation programmes could have a real impact on people’s lives.
The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion.
As Head of Learning & Participation, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Arboretum’s formal and informal learning programmes and will ensure that our participation activities enable us to deliver our vision to be the Nation's year-round place to Remember, an inspirational world class setting, freely open to all
You will have experience of working with external stakeholders, enjoy working as part of a team, have excellent attention to detail, and play a full part in engaging with staff and volunteers across the organisation.

This is a full-time position based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Rd, Alrewas, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR. Working a 35 hour week on a 5 days out of 7 basis.
The role is subject to relevant pre-employment screening, including an Enhanced DBS check.
About the National Memorial Arboretum
The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Home to over 400 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 30,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife. Each year the Arboretum welcomes over 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 250+ events which take place across the site.
