About The Royal British Legion
Careers in Marketing and Remembrance
Across the country, in every city and on every street, the Legion is there to support our Armed Forces community. As the largest charity of our kind, we have 180,000 members, 60,000 volunteers and a network of partners all helping us give support wherever and whenever it's needed.
Our Marketing and Remembrance teams ensure that the Legion’s key messages are delivered and understood by people across the nation. Not just by those we are here to support, but by everyone in this country who owe a debt of gratitude to all who have served. It's this mission, this scale, this challenge and the values we all live by, that makes the Legion such a fulfilling place to thrive.
Whether it’s through our One Legion Brand, press and television coverage, or integrated digital campaigns, as a member of our Marketing and Remembrance teams, you’d help ensure the unique contribution of the Armed Forces community is never forgotten. While inspiring people to engage with the Legion and make an impact for good.
This team is made up of people with a broad range of skills from an even broader range of sectors. If you were to join, together you’d implement the brand and marketing strategy, and deliver events like the Festival of Remembrance.
So, whatever your talents and expertise, if you want to give your days meaning. To put your passion into a role with real impact. To support people and be supported yourself. In an inclusive team that faces every challenge together. We think you’ll find a role here that works for you.
The Role
In this role you will assist in implementing an RBL-wide brand strategy at an exciting time for the organisation, having recently gone through a successful rebrand. The position will work alongside the Senior Brand Manager and will play an important part in protecting the new brand, providing guidance and ensuring it’s consistent use across the organisation and by external stakeholders. This will include reviewing designs across multiple channels, managing tools, templates and guidelines, consulting on new products and services and managing the role out of the new brand across RBL properties and other touchpoints.
The role will also assist in managing the relationships with our lead creative, media and research agencies – assisting in developing strategy, creative and comms plans for core brand campaigns, and ensuring research and reporting on core brand activity is regularly on-going.
This position calls for excellent influencing and communications skills as well as effectiveness in campaign planning, teamwork and relationship building. You will also be able to manage a heavy workload with flexibility and a positive approach to problem solving. You need to demonstrate a good eye for design and attention to detail, with an understanding of brand and effective creative content to reach specific audiences and marketing objectives.
As an inclusive employer, we welcome conversations on flexible working and any reasonable adjustments that may be required.
Diversity Statement
We believe that the compassion, understanding and service we show each, and every individual customer should be reflected in the way we all support, respect and include every individual who works with us.
It’s because of this that we have strived hard to create a One Legion culture that we can all feel part of and succeed in. It’s why we make sure that you have the opportunities you need to learn and develop. It’s why we’re invested in making RBL a truly inclusive place to work, where everyone can be themselves. It’s why you’re welcome, whoever you might be.
It’s why we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
