This role is predominantly home-working, this means that you would be engaging with people over the phone, through video conferencing and by utilising other appropriate communication methods. There will also be some Face to Face meetings required in the designated region. You will be required to reside within this geographical area and a full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.

At the Royal British Legion, we believe in building on potential. As a Food Services Assistant your ability to deliver high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness and presentation standards could have a real impact on people’s lives.
We are the country’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 210,000 members, 50,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; helping us give support wherever and whenever it’s needed. As a Food Services Assistant you will be responsible for supporting all areas of activity in the 380 cover Restaurant, Coffee Shop and Aspects Events Centre to supply: visitor day catering across multiple outlets including self-serve restaurant, table waited functions room, coffee shop, ‘pop up’ Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality.
You will have proven food service experience, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential together with the ability to work under pressure.
This role is working a 30 hour week (full time equivalent of post is 40 hour week) on a 5 days out of 7 shift basis. This will include weekend and bank holiday working on a regular basis and some evening work to support Arboretum events.
About the National Memorial Arboretum
The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Home to over 350 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 30,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife. Each year the Arboretum welcomes around 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 200+ events which take place across the site.
In March 2017, the National Memorial Arboretum formally opened its new award-winning Remembrance Centre.

At the Royal British Legion, we believe in building on potential. As an Independent Living Advisor, covering the South East (Kent, Sussex and Surrey) your ability to provide advice, support and advocacy for beneficiaries could have a real impact on people’s lives.
As an Independent Living Advisor, you will be responsible for will manage a caseload, providing person-centred advice, guidance and support, across a range of areas, including Direct Payments, Personal Budgets, Individual Budgets, Disability Advocacy, Personal Health Budgets, Disabled Facilities Grants, available Equipment and Minor Adaptations. You will also prepare and present cases to the appropriate statutory bodies and social care/health panels.
To be successful in this role you will have a clean driving license and access to your own vehicle, as well as being located within the region.
You will have a good understanding of the current UK Social Care system and of advocacy work and experience working with older people, carers and people with disabilities.

As the Transformation Programme Manager for our Care Homes, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a programme of work combining changes to the people, processes, technology and data structures related to our Care Homes within the RBL group.
To be successful in this role, it is important that you have experience of managing transformation programmes in a Health or Residential Care setting, and understand the complexities and challenges of working in this area. Additionally, it will be important that you can show evidence of managing complex change involving the implementation of new technologies, whilst also ensuring the processes and ways of working are adapted to enable successful implementation.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Chef to lead the kitchen at Mais House, Bexhill-on-sea.
You will manage the catering services within the home, maintaining a high standard of food provision and service to the residents, staff and visitors.
Educated to NVQ2 Cooking or equivalent and an immediate food hygiene certificate, you will have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment for large number of people and experience of catering to meet special dietary requirements. In addition, you will be an effective communicator and have experience of leading a team and the management of stock control.
Previous experience of maintaining standards within Catering Department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act and good IT skills are essential.
Please note you will be required to work on a rolling rota shift basis. To succeed in this role, you must be able to lead a team positively.

An exciting opportunity exists at Lister House for a Registered Nurse to become part of a team that is committed to the development of a high-quality service for the long-term care of older people.
As a Registered Nurse, you will promote through the care team, a stimulating and caring environment by exhibiting high standards of professional practice, to enhance the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.
You will have demonstrable clinical experience relevant to the sector within a care home or similar environment and experience of leading a team. Management of Medicines Certificate or equivalent or willingness to undertake is required together with a minimum of Asset level 2 in Dementia Care or a willingness to undertake.
